A Page of Al Thawra Newspaper and a Dinar

This newspaper page moved with me from Baghdad, when I graduated in science from Baghdad University, to Egypt, Lebanon, Iraqi Kurdistan, Iran, Syria, Britain, Somalia, back to London, Yemen, Saudi Arabia and finally, London. I have kept it because I wanted one thing that would remind me of my student days and would prove that I had, indeed, graduated from university, because my studies had been interrupted so often. I went to many different colleges, never spending more than a year in any one place. This page of the newspaper, Al Thawra, has a list of graduates and I am among them.

The dinar has a different story. We were in Syria and I found this dinar hidden in the bottom of an old purse. And I never spent it, although at that time I was in need of money
