I brought some of these things back with me from my visits to Kurdistan. There are traditional women’s headdresses, used for celebrations, feasts and weddings, a decoration for a horse carrying a bride from her home to her groom’s, jewelry (costume, but many have pieces like this in gold and silver). Kurdish women work side by side with Kurdish men in the fields and farms and in the cities. And they wear comfortable clothes. But they pay particular attention to their clothes and jewelry during weddings and celebrations.
