I was living in London during the Gulf War and was very worried about my family and the people I knew who were still in Iraq. When I was finally able to talk to my family on the phone, of course, I asked how everyone was. Were they all alright? Some were, some weren’t. This Madonna and rosary was sent to me by our Christian neighbours – they were touched that I had been worrying about their welfare, here in London.
